Come Look Inside The Dream Stocking We Wish We Could Open Christmas Morning
Because oops, no one thought to fill ours because apparently we married poorly.
There is nothing in our adult lives that has mimicked the dizzying thrill of opening a Christmas stocking.
You too?
But that emaciated one that’s been hanging pathetically from our mantle these past years - that my friends, is just … sadness.
We admit we’re not above tossing a few bits and bobs into our own stocking just to make it less sad. A couple of bath bombs here, a handful of peppermint bark Ghirardellis there.
But when it actually comes down to opening it, it’s like a tiny little pinprick to the heart.
Every. Single. Time.
This year, we started to daydream (collectively here at The Candidly) of what would comprise our fantasy Christmas stocking. The kind where each thing we pulled out would give us that same electric hit of dopamine we experienced as kids.
We came up with 18 absolutely gorgeous things. The créme de la créme of scents and skincare and small pleasures and softness. We got so exhilarated at the thought of stuffing our own stockings with these glorious things that we knew we had to write about them.
So whether you’re thinking of building this for some deserving human whose stocking you know will also be drooping in some dusty corner of the fireplace or for yourself (lord knowwws you’ve worked for it), here are the things we cannot recommend more to make up your own Candidly Christmas stocking.
And speaking of candid, we’ve already stuffed a bunch of these into ours. Not sorry.
